One of today's newspapers in Spokane Washington opined in the Editorial entitled "Too Many Guns" that one of the handgun-firearms issues regarding background checks at gunshows should be done. Despite this not-so-bad idea, the editorial went on to list the "X-factors" of risks of the biased anti-gun and gun ownership data.
Many groups have "researched" the issue. Many groups only rely on the news they wish to portray. Going into the data bank on the issue of bias in this area led me to two reasonable rebuttal articles and summaries.

Being a member of the NRA for 26+ years (Life since 1984) I am put-off by most of these ‘reasonable’ restrictions on privately-held firearms as all they do is hamper the ordinary citizen (of which I am proud to be one) and NEVER get to the criminal. These ‘goblins’ (as the late Col. Jeff Cooper titled them) always will have them and the law-abiding will get further away from being able to defend themselves by very mis-directed policies of ,at first, limiting the numbers of firearms; next: registration, and finally: Confiscation…All in the name of ‘Safety’…..I have a sign on my gunsafe which sums up the situation – it shows a revolver (fullyloaded) pointing at you with the words: “Forget the Dog – Beware of the Owner”….
Whether or not you agree – The Second Amendment is the one that GUARANTEES ALL the others…..
